Try a2 Milk®, Win a Trip to Australia, and Enjoy Milk Again

This post was sponsored by a2 Milk® as part of an Ambassador Program for Influence Central. I received complimentary products to facilitate my review.

I have to level with you guys here – I used to have some serious milk struggles, and “other” milks just did NOT do it for me. Like one might taste good with cereal but horrible in coffee, and neither that one nor the one that did taste good in coffee work well for cooking. Basically, I’d have an entire shelf dedicated to milks, just to avoid “gastric discomfort” (a gentle euphemism for the limping embarrassment I’d become after accidentally drinking regular milk), and even still, it was never as satisfying as the real thing.

In the months since discovering a2 Milk®, that’s (mercifully) changed significantly. I’ll be honest – I was a little more nervous than I was skeptical because “Post-Dairy Digestive Discomfort” would basically ruin whatever remained of my day. I was so happily surprised that a2 Milk® didn’t have that same effect – like I can drink a glass straight without a problem. I can actually taste what cereal is supposed to taste like. I can make a White Russian! Do you know how much I’ve missed being able to drink White Russians? Ugh. It’s been a revelation, fam.

I have to take a step back, though, and explain why a2 Milk® doesn’t beat me up from the inside out – see, for an unwitting and large part of the population, Post-Dairy Digestive Discomfort is caused by the A1 protein, which is naturally occurring in most cows. a2 Milk® comes only from specially selected cows that naturally produce milk free from the A1 protein.  Considering that 1 in 4 Americans have discomfort after drinking milk but only 5-7% of the population has been diagnosed with lactose intolerance, this is an excellent replacement for those of us who are Dairy-Challenged.

On top of that, it tastes just like regular milk – everyone in the family gets to enjoy pure, farm-fresh milk, no one has to sacrifice comfort or flavor. It’s a win-win! Unless you have a 5 year old who is morally opposed to new things in packaging that’s not what he’s used to. I don’t know what to tell you except that I’m with you and I have a great White Russian recipe for you if you need it.
