I was asked to review GlassesShop.com, and their timing was excellent – I’ve been looking for a great pair of prescription sunglasses, because getting older sucks and I just can’t wear regular glasses anymore.
The Site
What’s great about Glasses Shop is that they have cheap glasses that are REALLY cute, so instead of getting gauged by an optometrist’s office for $250 (seriously – what is that?!), you can find an excellent, high-quality pair of glasses for about $25. No joke.
What I really like about GlassesShop is that it’s easy to navigate (this is SO important to me – if I can’t get through a site easily and intuitively, I’ll find another site that is easier to use), and more importantly, they have a tool that allows you to “try on” your glasses virtually.
Quick recap: they’ve eliminated probably the biggest pain point to glasses shopping – price – and the pain point of shopping for glasses online – finding a pair that looks good on you without fear of buying something that doesn’t look the same in person as it does online.
The Glasses
I picked a pair of Wayfarers with wood-like arms, and they’re EXCELLENT. Honestly, I see better in them than I do in my everyday glasses, and maybe it’s because they’re polarized, but who knows. I just know that they’re really cute and I can see with them.
Final Thoughts
Overall, I’d highly recommend Glasses Shop for prescription eyeglasses or sunglasses, and I know I’ll certainly order from them again. The process was painless and even fun (granted, I really like shopping anyway sooooo…), and the selection is varied with prescription and lens upgrade options for basically any vision.
A little something for you!
If you want to give GlassesShop a test run first, you can get your first pair free (just pay shipping & handling). If you already love them or if you want to order more than one pair, you can use GSHOT50 for 50% off on eyeglasses or sunglasses (sale frames excluded).
Disclosure: I was invited by GlassesShop.com to review their glasses, and I received them for free. All thoughts, opinions, and experiences are honest, completely mine, and were not compensated.
